On September 8, 2025, four of the five new Trojan Fulbrighters beginning their academic journey this semester were welcomed at a breakfast gathering, a warm setting that fostered connection, dialogue, and community spirit.

The occasion included the presence of representatives from the Office of International Services (OIS) and staff members from the Viterbi School of Engineering, who kindly provided guidance. They explained several processes within the university that directly impact Fulbright scholars and highlighted their continued openness to address any questions or concerns that Fulbrighters might have. Their support and approachability left a strong impression, reinforcing the sense that no one is alone in navigating USC.

The breakfast was more than an introduction, it became a welcoming and intimate moment that made it possible to reconnect with fellow continuing Fulbrighters, meet the new scholars, and strengthen the bonds that sustain our community. Beyond networking, it reaffirmed a shared commitment: to remain ready to support and serve one another as members of the Fulbright Trojan family.

Looking ahead, on October 21, 2025, at 12:00 PM in MCB 102, a Connection Café will take place, offering Fulbrighters the opportunity to engage with staff members and peers in a welcoming space to discuss any relevant topics. It will be another valuable occasion to strengthen ties, exchange experiences, and continue nurturing a supportive environment.

As we continue building this vibrant network, one thing is certain: at USC, being a Trojan means always having a community, and being a Fulbrighter means always belonging to one as well.
