The flagship international academic exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government which was created in 1946 in the aftermath of World War II through legislation introduced by the late Senator J. William Fulbright of Arkansas. The program provides awards to approximately 8,000 beneficiaries from the United States and over 160 countries. Among the ranks of Fulbright alums are 62 Nobel Prize recipients, 80 MacArthur Foundation Fellows, 89 Pulitzer Prize winners, and 42 current or former heads of state or government.

Each year we welcome new Fulbright students to USC. In this post we summarize some of the diversity of our current and incoming Fulbright Trojans. USC currently hosts 31 international Fulbrighters including 6 new graduate students and three visiting scholars.

The majority of Fulbright students at USC are Masters’ students and 30% of them are enrolled in an engineering program.

Currently USC hosts Fulbrighters from 19 different countries with the majority coming from Pakistan (4) and Mexico (4).
